The Website mentioned in the load shedding document contains valuable information, but is www.capetown.gov.za
and needs to include www. in order to work. Go to "electricity" on the home-page menu on the left. Note the two time blocks for your suburb (whether domestic or business) and then plan to avoid intensive electricity-driven work during that period. If you're caught in an outage, switch all the machines off (including computers, photocopiers, phones and faxes). Also note also the useful "tips and hints in [the] event of power outages".
